Determines and recommends opportunities for community members to participate in programs and activities. Where applicable, maintains and assists in the renovation of Recreation Rental Cabins. Serves as a Forest Protection Officer. Primary enforcement responsibility is enforcement of District Travel Plan and enforcement of laws and regulations associated with occupancy on the National Forest. Coordinates enforcement with the Zone Law Enforcement Officer. Where applicable, inspects Recreation Residences. Documents findings and makes written and/or oral contact with permittees to ensure compliance with terms of the permit. Assists with performing compliance checks and inspections on existing permits under Special-Use authorization. Assists with the enforcement of Off-Road-Vehicle (ORV) restrictions, including maintenance and posting of regulatory signs and enforcement of restrictions. May use All Terrain Vehicles (ATVs), watercrafts, and/or snowmobiles to patrol District roads, trails, and/or waterways and ensure that use is in accordance with recreation plans and regulations.
