Job Title: Senior Environmental Consultant/Program Director (Hawaii) Company: ERM Location: Honolulu, HI Description: ERM is seeking an experienced Senior Environmental Consultant/Program Director, with significant consulting experience and local client relationships, to play a key role in expanding our business in the Hawaii. The ideal candidate will specialize in one of ERM's core practices, in particular Compliance Assurance/Air Quality, Contaminated Site Management, Impact Assessment & Planning or Sustainability & Climate Change, while building a multi-disciplinary team to service the Hawaiian islands. As a senior leader, you will be fully accountable for successfully selling and consulting on a range of environmental projects to build a sustainable business locally, while networking with ERM's global practice teams to share best practices across the industry. RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop and implement strategic business/action plan, provide leadership, and deliver performance results to expand ERM's client base in Hawaii. As a senior "seller/doer," personally win $500,000 to $1 million in new environmental consulting services annually. Identify and develop new opportunities, prepare effective technical proposals, and take active leadership role in developing new business with new and existing clients. Develop and expand client relationships that generate repeat business. Develop and manage strategic environmental programs (in your targeted practice area) for a variety of industrial clients with complex technical/regulatory issues. Design and direct large programs/projects and multi-person project teams. Achieve client's expectations for scope, budget, schedule, and quality. Lead, manage performance, hire and retain, inspire and mentor personnel for overall success of practice team. Develop a working understanding of ERM's consulting practice areas and actively support cross-selling these services to existing clients. Support the general growth and development of ERM's international practice area within your designated field. Coordinate with ERM offices in the US, Asia-Pacific, Europe, and Latin America regions. REQUIREMENTS: BS/MS in engineering (environmental, chemical, civil), environmental science, or related degree. 10 to 15+ years relevant consulting experience in working with significant industrial clients on environmental consulting engagements. Proven track record in developing and implementing successful business growth strategies in Hawaii. Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients, and book personal sales of at least $500,000 (net revenue) in new environmental consulting services. Recognized technical expertise by and established reputation in the local marketplace. Certification in field; PE, RG, CSP, CIH, CHMM, or similar registration highly desirable.
