Job Title: Seeking Environmental Technicians Company: Location: Indianapolis, IN Description: Waste Management is hiring Environmental Technician II in Indianapolis. Our Environmental Technicians operate equipment including forklifts, drum crushers and compactors and perform labor-intensive activities such as drum collection, drum bulking, loading of trucks, pushing, pulling, dragging, and lifting items up to 50 pounds. You must be 21 years of age or older, should have 2 years experience within the past 7 years shipping hazardous/non - hazardous materials and should have High School Diploma or equivalent. The position maintains environmental and safety compliance. The Environmental Technicians assist with site inspections to ensure project adherence with the federal regulations such as Resource Conservation and Recovery Act and OSHA, ensuring waste types are properly segregated, regulatory shipment windows are met, proper container labeling is adhered to, good housekeeping is maintained and accurate tracking logs are kept.
