ECS is seeking an for entry level Field Technicians in our Worcester, Massachusetts office This full-time position will require an individual with a minimum BS degree in Geology, Civil Engineering or Environmental Science (or related degree) and 1-3 years of demonstrated field experience including sample collection, field analysis, and oversight of other trades. Duties assigned to an Environmental Field Technician may include, but are not limited to, one or more of the following as assigned and overseen by a Project Manager or Senior Field Technician: ? Sample collection and field analysis (air, soil, groundwater, water, and building materials). ? Surveying (differential level & triangulation). ? Basic remediation systems (SVE, AS, GWPT) installation and/or O&M. ? Pilot/slug test (pump, AS, SVE, high vac., bio) data collection. ? Remediation system component construction and installation. ? File review and documentation (local and state). ? Compilation of lab data and preparation of summary tables/charts. ? Oversight of excavation activities (contaminated soil and/or underground storage tanks). ? Oversight of subsurface investigations (i.e. drilling test borings and well installations). ? Oversight of subcontractors performing services at site locations ? Letter and report preparation for submittal to regulatory agencies with supervision of senior staff. These duties may vary between locations based on the specific state regulations regarding regulatory compliance at each office. OSHA 40 Hour Hazwoper Certification and/or up to date annual refresher course is a plus, but is not mandatory as this training can be provided. Job Title: Environmental Technician Company: Location: Boston, MA Description: We are looking for experienced environmental technicians to join our team. We investigate local properties then design, construct and operate soil and groundwater treatment systems so contaminated properties can be redeveloped. We investigate properties for buyers and sellers; sample soil and groundwater; conduct site investigations in accordance with the Massachusetts Contingency Plan; perform containment migration studies; and provide other basic science services. We also install monitoring wells and direct tank removals and replacements. We design, manufacture, install and operate remedial equipment that utilize the latest treatment technologies.
