Job Title: ENVIRONMENTAL SPECIALIST 2 Company: Location: Franklin, OH Description: Reviews and evaluates the adequacy of mitigation wetland design, construction, performance, and monitoring protocols as a part of projects which have received Section 401 water quality certification or isolated wetland permit to determine environmental impact and to ensure compliance with state and Federal requirements and Ohio EPA policy of that project and the mitigation required for that project. Visits mitigation sites both prior to and after construction for almost all permits issued. Participates in the Mitigation Banking Review Team for the State of Ohio. Coordinates and works with wetland ecologists at Ohio EPA in interpreting and applying standardized mitigation monitoring and performance protocols. Assists in the design of site-selection, field collection, and data analysis protocols to assess the success of the mitigation program.
