Job Title: Environmental Technician & Hydroligist/Environmental Tech as Inspector Company: Location: Portland, OR Description: Environmental Technician needed for the areas of Mt. Hood National Forest & Columbia Gorge National Scenic Area. Duties consist of conducting tests and field investigations to obtain data for use by environmental, engineering and scientific personnel in determining sources and methods of controlling pollutants in air, water, and soil, utilizing knowledge of agricultire, chemisty, meteorology, and engineering principles and applied technologies. Workers will conduct chemical and physical laboratory and field tests. Hydrologists/Environmental Technician as Inspectors needed for the areas of Mt. Hood National Forest & Columbia Gorge National Scenic Area. Duties consist of working directly with forest and district hydrologists and Fisheries Biologists in determining the hydrological function of existing terrain and road features to minimize transported sedimentation impacts to streams form constructed road prisms that will be placed in long-term storage and impacts created by road decommissioning and recontouring activities. Job Title: Forestry Technician Lead Cruiser Appraiser Company: Location: Eugene, OR Description: The employee is responsible for the accurate cruise and appraisal for resource area timber sales.  The employee is the team lead for a work group of cruisers. He/she will be responsible to complete and direct the on-the-ground implementation of cruise and appraisal related aspects of timber sales for the Field Office.  He/she must instruct crew members in the use of BLM cruising procedures and to accurately determine the volume and value of timber as well as assign work, set priorities, provide training, and quality standards for a staff of two to four forestry technicians.  The employee will be the Field Office lead for the latest BLM computer technology for the collection, processing and analysis of field cruise data.  He/she will be responsible to cruise and appraise any timber trespass according to BLM standards.

Job Title: General Laborer/Environmental Technician Company: Location: Portland, OR Description: Mid-sized environmental services and consulting company looking to hire a General Laborer/Environmental Technician. Candidate must have a valid driver license and be able to pass a driving record/criminal background check. A clean driving record is imperative. Experience operating skid steers and small excavators is preferred. Experience driving a small dump truck and trailer is also preferred. Candidate must have the ability to lift 80lbs repeatedly. This position will be considered temporary but has the potential to become long-term. No benefits will be offered at this time.
