Candidate must have a valid driver license and be able to pass a driving record/criminal background check. A clean driving record is imperative. Experience operating skid steers and small excavators is preferred. Experience driving a small dump truck and trailer is also preferred. Candidate must have the ability to lift 80lbs repeatedly. Environmental Specialist **This position is non-exempt, 30 hours per week with benefits** As an Environmental Specialist with Terracon you will perform duties related to conducting Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), Brownfield redevelopment projects, environmental research and collection, data evaluation, field inspections, geotechnical studies, and report preparation.You will also conduct stormwater sampling and regulatory compliance services and other environmental consulting tasks. General Responsibilities: An entry level professional requiring supervision in the performance of routine field investigations, laboratory tests, sample reviews, data collection, routine calculations, and draft reports. Essential Functions and Duties: Using prescribed methods, performs specific and limited portions of assignments. May work in the office, lab or in the field. Assists in the collection and analysis of data from sampling, reports, maps, drawings, tests and aerial photographs. The program includes both recreation and non-recreation special uses.
