Job Title: Environmental Technician/General Laborer Company: Location: Portland, OR Description: Mid-sized environmental services and consulting company looking to hire a General Laborer/Environmental Technician. Candidate must have a valid driver license and be able to pass a driving record/criminal background check. A clean driving record is imperative. Experience operating skid steers and small excavators is preferred. Experience driving a small dump truck and trailer is also preferred. Candidate must have the ability to lift 80lbs repeatedly. Job Title: Environmental Specialist Company: Terracon Location: Portland, OR Description: Environmental Specialist **This position is non-exempt, 30 hours per week with benefits** As an Environmental Specialist with Terracon you will perform duties related to conducting Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), Brownfield redevelopment projects, environmental research and collection, data evaluation, field inspections, geotechnical studies, and report preparation.You will also conduct stormwater sampling and regulatory compliance services and other environmental consulting tasks. Job Title: Forestry Technician Recreation Company: Location: Bend, OR Description: (The duties described reflect the full performance level of this position)Primary duties: Provides special use administration for the Crescent Ranger District special use program. The program includes both recreation and non-recreation special uses. Recreation special uses include 138 recreation residences, one organization camp, outfitter guides, several recreation events and non-commercial group events. Non-recreation special uses include two communication sites, utility permits, one industrial camp, private residences, access roads, railroad right-of-way, reaserach projects, and commerical filming.In addition, this position: Serves as the main point of contact for inquires regarding commercial land uses, permit questions and land transactions on the Ranger District. Is the lead for the minerals material program on the district, which includes issuing permits for cinders and inspecting minerals operations for contract compliance. Serves as the lead for any new special use projects by coordinating with proponents and district resource specialists to complete cost recovery and environmental analysis reporting and documentation. May assist the Lands and Special Uses Team with processing special use proposals submitted across the Deschutes National Forest.
