Combined employment among the three plants exceeds 1,000 team members.This position will be located at theJackson, TN facility. We are currently seeking anEnvironmental Specialist. The mainpurpose / roleis to lead daily environmental requirements in HPDC plant. Also, manage the shop on a daily basis to ensure environmental compliance, andmanage corporate, state and federal reporting requirements. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Manage operation/function: Daily floor management of die casting operations for environmental compliance. Monitor critical environmental check sheets. Monitor wastewater operations. Management of permits compliance. Tracking of energy usage, waste disposal, recycling activities. Complete all federal, state, local compliance reports (Form R, Tier II, etc). . Lead/manage team members: Ensure training and verification of compliance. Lead entire Jackson facility in environmental systems. Manage projects: Support / lead any activity that requires environmental technical skills. Meet all regulatory reporting requirements at all levels (federal, state, local). Regulatory reporting and certification (in conjunction with Bodine-Troy & TEMA EA). Manage processes: Ensure production processes are managed on a daily basis - safety, quality, cost management, T/M development and environmental responsibilities. Implement and manage all company policies - HR, safety, environmental and SQAM. Ensure manufacturing adherence to Toyota Enhanced Environmental Management Systems. Participate in Toyota EEMS and ISO14001 audit processes. Resolve problems: Manage daily problem activity through demonstration of TBP approach - ensure strong environmental systems are managed and any problems are countermeasured appropriately. Other: Develop and implement the environmental check system;work with manufacturing to ensure compliance. Ensure wastewater operations compliance through wastewater discharge system management. Create and submit all federal, state and local environmental permit applications and follow up reports. Provide leadership on all Jackson environmental systems. Responsible for the completion of all annual training programs for facility. Develop and train all team members on necessary programs (some are legally mandated). Provide environmental consultation to various groups on new projects (includes new construction or modification of existing equipment / processes). Support executive leadership through monthly compliance updates. Bachelor's Technical Degree or equivalent related experience required. Environmental experience- mandatory 3-5 years required. Microsoft Office skills required. Minimum 3 years casting experienceis a plus. Toyota experience is a plus. Overtime may be approximately 6-10 hours per week. Minimal travel required to Bodine Troy (Missouri)or TEMA(Cincinnati area). Must be able to support multiple shifts based on production scheduling demands. Additional Information: Travel Percentage: 10%
