Job Description

MunicipalH2O, located in Little Rock, Arkansas, specializes in providing EPA Risk Management Plan (RMP) Compliance Services for water and wastewater facilities throughout the U. S.  We offer a complete solution for all EPA/State Risk Management Program requirements, including prevention programs, hazard assessments, compliance audits and registrations/updates, RMP training and other services.  We are seeking an independent, forward-thinking environmental professional with proven business and technical presence with the ability to manage the delivery of comprehensive EPA Risk Management Plan (RMP) services and other professional and consulting services for public/private water and wastewater treatment plant operations.  This position demands initiative, attention to detail and professional independent judgment to manage work schedule and priorities to accomplish job responsibilities. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • After an initial training period, you will be responsible for the development, delivery and update of Risk Management Plan documents and processes to ensure continuous compliance with all RMP regulatory requirements for existing and new clients, including:
    • Conducting RMP Compliance Audits, Hazard Reviews and Analyses
    • Preparation of Compliance Audit Reports
    • Development of Hazard Assessment and Prevention Program Documents
    • Submission of RMP registration documents
  • Maintaining regular contact with clients to help ensure their facility is in continuous compliance with RMP regulations.
  • Building relationships with clients to ensure understanding and satisfaction of MunicipalH2O services and identify new service needs
  • Assisting clients during EPA/state inspection of their RMP program

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate would have the following skills:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences, Chemistry or Biology with at least five years of work experience in a technical, engineering or science-oriented position
  • A general understanding of water and wastewater treatment or industrial processes, safety programs, industrial maintenance and/or emergency response programs
  • Ability to deal effectively with diverse client personnel
  • Comfortable leading and conducting frequent conference calls and occasional onsite meetings with clients
  • Ability to perform work with minimal supervision
  • Comfortable working in a small business environment
  • Desire for a long-term career with increasing levels of responsibility
  • Strong customer service and team-work orientation
  • Extremely organized and detail oriented
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and effective interpersonal skills
  • Competent MS Office skills
