Position Summary
As a Staff Scientist, you will be instrumental in conducting environmental fieldwork and assessments to identify and address potential environmental risks. This role involves hands-on sampling of soil, groundwater, and soil vapor, as well as performing Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) and surveys for asbestos-containing materials (ACM) and lead-based paint (LBP). You'll also contribute to report writing and data analysis to support project evaluations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform field sampling of soil, groundwater, and soil vapor.
- Conduct Phase I Environmental Site Assessments to evaluate potential environmental liabilities.
- Carry out ACM and LBP surveys to detect hazardous materials.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, data tables, and drawings based on field and lab results.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or a related discipline.
- At least 4 years of experience in environmental consulting.
- Familiarity with environmental regulations and best practices.
- Strong skills in data collection, analysis, and technical writing.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Willingness to travel, primarily within southeastern Wisconsin and northern Illinois, with occasional overnight stays.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $80000.00/hr.
