The Environmental Engineerprovides environmental expertise and support for our core business units, including sand and gravel mining, limestone quarries, asphalt production & paving, concrete production, and steel mill services.BenefitsCompetitive benefits package including Medical, Dental, Prescription, 401(K) with 3% Employer Contribution, Long- and Short-term DisabilityTuition Reimbursement for qualified skilled trade programsStudent Loan Repayment ProgramEmployee Referral ProgramResponsibilitiesThe Corporate Environmental Specialist:Develops and implements environmental compliance programs (e.g., SPCC, SWPPP)Conducts environmental training (e.g., SPCC, Storm Water, Air Compliance, ISO 14001)Completes regulatory reporting (e.g., SARA Tier II and TRI reports)Apply for environmental permits (e.g., Air Permits, Groundwater Discharge Permits, NPDES Permits)Performs Certified Visible Emission readingsCollects environmental samples (e.g., waste, stormwater), reviews and communicates resultsSupports remediation, construction, and demolition projectsAssists with the implementation of environmental and safety policies and regulationsParticipates in site EHS auditsAssists in investigating environmental related incidents, conducts root causes and coordinates the implementation of corrective actionsMonitors compliance and training recordsDevelops and maintains current knowledge of environmental regulationsDevelops and maintains positive relations with internal and external stakeholders to support EHS programs and initiativesAssist with special projects and other duties assigned by managerSkillsThe ideal candidate will have:3- 5 years of relevant experienceKnowledge of EPA and state environmental regulationsExperience with air regulationsComputer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPointAbility to communicate effectively in written and verbal format individually and in group settingsAbility to interface with various levels of employees and customersAbility to work with minimal supervisionAbility to travel by ground or airAbility to sit, stand, walk for extended periods of time, climb, tolerate noise and temperature variations, and lift 30 poundsAbility to operate a motor vehicle, valid driver's license with a good driving recordBachelor's degree in engineering, environmental sciences, or similar disciplineTo ApplyPlease submit your resume.
