We are looking to add new talent to our growing team! We are currently seeking an Assistant Project Manager, Civil/Environmental Engineer or Geologist to work in a technical support role with highly skilled professionals to deliver a diverse array of projects that require site characterization, environmental investigation, remedial alternatives analysis, remedial design, and field support during site characterization and remedy implementation and construction. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing group and company and get involved in a variety of projects for a diverse range of clients. This is a full-time position located in our Princeton, NJ, Holicong, PA or Cherry Hill, NJ offices.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
In this position, you will:
- Serve as a member of the environmental remediation group to work collaboratively with a passionate team supporting a wide variety of clients. Work on complex and challenging investigation and remediation projects.
- Understand client needs and be able to develop strong client relationships.
- Implement projects to meet technical, quality, budgetary and scheduling requirements.
- Plan and direct environmental field observation and testing programs; including laboratory test selection and data evaluation.
- Participate in development of technical approaches, specifically as related to preparing design-phase documents (design reports, design drawings, technical specifications), obtaining project permits, and implementing remedial construction.
- Work collaboratively with design teams of engineers, scientists and CAD designers to develop complete site/civil/remediation design packages and permit applications for construction.
- Support development of remedial alternative assessments and cost analyses, remedial action work plans, and construction cost estimates.
- Support and implement treatability tests, pilot tests, pre-design investigations.
- Be effective in assigning and managing work to others.
- Demonstrate strong coaching and mentoring skills to more junior level staff.
- Provide clear verbal and written communications including client deliverables.
- Develop a working understanding of H&As other consulting practice areas and actively support marketing other additional services to existing clients.
- Comply with the Guiding Principles and Code of Behavior articulated in our Company Charter.
- Comply with Company Health and Safety protocols.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Minimum Skills and Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Geology, or related field.
- 6+ years of related experience.
- New Jersey Professional Engineering license, or ability to obtain within two years of hire.
- Experience with New Jersey and federal environmental regulations, environmental investigation, remediation design and compliance, and environmental construction/characterization support.
- Experience managing and evaluating large environmental data sets to develop conclusions and recommendations relative to remedial strategy.
- Proficient computer literacy skills, including the use of the Microsoft Office 365 Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint) and the ability to learn various software needed to support financial management, diverse project needs, and client requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, and strategic thinking skills, with attention to technical detail.
- Desire to learn and grow in your profession, demonstrate a positive attitude, strong work ethic, resourcefulness, flexibility, and ownership.
- OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER training and refresher updates, and strong commitment to safety.
Preferred Skills:
- Masters degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Geology, or related field.
- Demonstrated experience in all phases of NJDEP investigation and remediation process
- Strong computer literacy skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Blue Beam
- CAD/Civil3D and GIS proficiency.
The salary range for this position in Princeton, NJ and Cherry Hill, NJ is $70,000 - $90,000 annually . Actual compensation will be based upon a variety of factors such as education, related work experience, certificates, skills, and current market conditions. Haley & Aldrich reviews salary ranges each quarter to assess competitiveness with the market.
