OCl is committed to providing the best in cloud products that meet the needs of our customers who are tackling some of the world's biggest challenges. The OCI Metering team ingests millions of records of OCl's customer usage daily from every OCI Service team. These records are processed, aggregated and used for customer reports and billing purposes. The team supports a big data pipeline that is required to be highly redundant and scalable. Additionally the team works with all areas of the OCl cloud services (Compute, Databases, etc) and the downstream platform team (Billing, Identity, Accounts, etc). It is a critical team that gathers usage from all areas of the OCI Cloud and sends to downstream teams. The team manages a constantly growing pipeline supporting new customer requests and services. We are looking for an Engineer with cloud experience to join our development team. The ideal candidate will be technically strong and must have an understanding of large-scale distributed systems (cloud-based environments). In addition, the candidate will have solid experience of taking a new major feature from initiation to release. This role will drive the technical aspects of our product definition, contribute to our product strategy, and improve the continuous development of our cloud management services. As a Principal Member of Technical Staff you will be responsible for ensuring that our cloud infrastructure solutions are designed and built with the highest level of scalability in mind. You will partner with other development teams and be responsible for architecting, designing, and implementing solutions within a distributed computing environment. This will include conducting threat modeling of systems under development, ensuring our systems are built to align with security, identity, metrics, search, and compliance (as examples). You will be part of a team of smart, motivated, diverse people, and given the autonomy and support to do your best work.
