**Job Description**

The Environmental Scientist / Industrial Hygienist / Project Manager

provides expert environmental consulting services to a broad range of

industrial, maritime, and commercial clients. This role requires a deep

understanding of the principles, methods, and techniques of

environmental science, industrial hygiene, and occupational safety. It

also demands the ability to apply relevant aspects of chemistry,

biological sciences, and public health to environmental remediation

projects involving hazardous materials such as lead, asbestos, and mold.

The position involves identifying and evaluating health hazards

associated with catastrophic property damage caused by storms and

flooding, as well as assessing the environmental, health, and safety

impacts of chemical releases and oil spills.

**Responsibilities**

- Apply advanced environmental science expertise with specialized

knowledge in chemistry, industrial hygiene, and biological sciences

to address complex environmental, health, and safety (EH&S)

challenges.

- Collaborate effectively as a team member to support client EH&S

objectives and ensure regulatory compliance across diverse project

environments.

- Conduct on-site investigations, measurements, and evaluations of

environmental and occupational health conditions; perform research

and analysis to develop comprehensive technical reports for senior

review.

- Prepare technical studies and reports in accordance with established

standards and procedures.

- Support multiple projects simultaneously at various stages of

completion, demonstrating adaptability and strong organizational

skills.

- Willing and able to travel by air, sea, or land on short notice to

reach project sites as required.

- Maintain active state certifications for mold, lead, and asbestos

inspections and assessments.

- Operate under the direction of a Project Manager, contributing to

the successful execution of fieldwork and reporting tasks.

**Qualifications**

- Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in Science, Geology, or Engineering

- Minimum of three (3) years of EH&S experience (specialized degrees

may waive experience requirement)

- Background in environmental consulting is highly beneficial

- Illinois Asbestos Inspector License

- Illinois Asbestos Air Sampling Professional License and/or Illinois

Asbestos Project Manager License

- Valid Driver\'s License

- TWIC card eligible

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

- Strong time management; disciplined and well-organized

- Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset

- Effective problem-solving and analytical skills

- Maintains a high standard of professional ethics and integrity

- Exceptional customer relationship and client service skills

- Must be comfortable to work in a remote and/or hybrid environment

- Must be flexible to work outside of the 8:30am - 5:30pm business

hours if needed

A reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role is \$90,000 -

\$140,000 per year. Any offered salary range is based on a wide array of

factors including but not limited to skillset, experience, training,

location, the scope of the role, management responsibility, etc.
