We are looking to add new talent to our growing team! We are currently seeking a Project Environmental Engineer to work in a technical support role with highly skilled professionals on diverse project teams in a dynamic environment. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing group and company and get involved in a variety of projects for a diverse range of clients. This is a full-time position located in our Spokane, WA office.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
In this position, you will:

  • Develop technical scopes of work and cost estimates for proposal efforts on small- to medium-sized project opportunities.
  • Manage projects involving reclamation and remedial design from characterization to design to construction oversight.
  • Manage projects involving hydrology & hydraulic studies and design documents.
  • Complete field-level survey work, sampling, and site investigations.
  • Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary project teams and nationwide company offices and client/project locations.
  • Lead project teams in developing and executing technical approaches to problem-solving, specifically as related to preparing design-phase documents, obtaining project permits, and implementing construction.
  • Perform design analyses, design calculations, and Design Drawings by functionally employing the appropriate technical software including HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, and CAD, among others.
  • Oversee construction in remote locations.
  • Understand client needs and build and maintain trusted client relationships.
  • Coordinate with client representatives, and regulatory and external stakeholders.
  • Be capable of managing financial and technical aspects of projects.
  • Execute projects to meet technical, quality, budgetary and scheduling requirements.
  • Be effective in assigning and managing work.
  • Perform all work in accordance with company and client health and safety protocols.
  • Demonstrate the companys foundational safety behaviors.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Minimum Skills and Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Environmental Engineering or related field.
  • 4+ years of related experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be proficient at writing technical reports to meet project requirements.
  • Able to work independently on individual tasks supporting technical work and exhibit the ability to manage tasks and perform work on multiple projects or multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Desire to learn and grow in your profession, demonstrate a positive attitude, strong work ethic, resourcefulness, flexibility, and ownership.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and GIS.
  • Able to meet the physical requirements of the position: lift 50 lbs., traverse unstable/sloping sites and landscapes, work outside in a range of weather conditions, and have the stamina for moderate physical activity for the majority of field working hours.
  • Able to travel to work locations that may require overnight stays.

Preferred Skills:

  • Masters degree or Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering or related field.
  • Professional certification or planning to obtain professional certification, as applicable to the discipline.
  • OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training.

The salary range for this position in Spokane, WA is $75,000 - $85,000 annually . Actual compensation will be based upon a variety of factors such as education, related work experience, certificates, skills, and current market conditions. Haley & Aldrich reviews salary ranges each quarter to assess competitiveness with the market. Thisrole is eligible to participate in the companys discretionary bonus program. This role may beeligible to receive a sign-on bonus.
