Civil/Environmental Engineer
Responsibilities Lead or support landfill engineering design projects, including landfill cell layout, liner and cover system design, LFG collection system layout, leachate collection/treatment, and rain cover/intermediate cover design. Develop detailed engineering plans and construction drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D and other design tools. Prepare technical specifications, bid documents, and permit applications in accordance with NJDEP regulations. Support site remediation projects (PA/SI/RI/RAW) by coordinating with in-house LSRPs and environmental scientists. Design and prepare plans for stormwater management systems, SPPP, SPCC, and fuel storage and dispensing facilities (UST/AST), including closure or replacement projects. Perform field inspections, compliance testing, and site assessments at active landfill and fuel storage sites. Prepare annual bond and topographic survey reports, and other regulatory deliverables for actively operational landfill facilities. Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies. Assist in mentoring junior engineers and supporting QA/QC processes for engineering deliverables.
Qualifications Professional experience in civil/environmental engineering, with a focus on solid waste landfill design, stormwater management, or fuel storage facilities. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant design software. Strong technical writing, design, and project management skills. Familiarity with NJDEP Solid Waste Management and Site Remediation Program regulations. New Jersey Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred or the ability to obtain PE licensure in New Jersey within 1 year. OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification (or willingness to obtain). Valid drivers license and ability to conduct occasional site visits and inspections.

Description CME Associates is seeking a proactive Mid-Level Civil Engineer with 5 plus years of relevant experience to join our multi-disciplinary team.
