B&N is looking for a passionate, senior Geologist to join our Environmental Services Division in [Columbus, OH]("nofollow"}. This position will manage a variety of environmental site assessment [projects]("nofollow"} and offers growth for professional and personal development with occasional field work.
The applicant must be self-motivated with a strong foundation of geological/earth science processes, passion for mentoring less experienced staff, knowledge of Ohio and US environmental programs. Applicant must have general business knowledge or ambition to incorporate business aspects into their responsibilities.
**B&N Geologist Responsibilities**
- Senior Project Manager that would develop approaches for environmental assessment and remediation under brownfield programs.
- Manage proposals and cost estimates and projects from a financial standpoint. Working with a team of professionals, collect and evaluate environmental data and install sample collection points.
- Perform and manage Phase I and Phase II environmental site assessments.
- Mentor and train less experienced staff in sampling.
**Skills and Qualifications**
- Bachelor of Science in Geology or other related Earth or Soil science
- 20+ years of related project management experience including strong knowledge site assessments
- Ohio Voluntary Action Program Certified Professional
- Certified Geologist and/or Licensed Professional Geologist a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
- Bentley Open Grounds a plus
- A valid driver's license with acceptable driving history
- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions and traverse uneven terrain
- Ability to travel up to 30% of time, including overnight stays
- Effective written/verbal communication and organization/analytical skills
Travel arrangements to and from work assignments including airfare, hotel, mileage, and meals are reimbursed. All safety training, equipment, tools, and tech are provided.
