Why does the job exist?
This position will receive, process, and follow up to ensure regulatory compliance, meet federal grant requirements, and adhere to Tanks and Operations Support managed programs such as the qualified tester program, certified installer program, and class A/B operator trained and certified program. This position will assist the qualified tester program by conducting initial evaluations and following up on submissions or related concerns. This position will also track and promote compliance, as well as follow up to ensure that Class A/B Operator training and certified installer requirements are met. This position will also help identify and implement specific projects to improve program effectiveness, such as the development of an electronic file management system and other database enhancement activities.

- Committed to regulatory compliance; and is conscientious and adheres to deadlines
- Work with the Prevention Inspection Program as needed in processing the tester and certified installer certifications
- Review and enter submittal of A/B Operators in New Mexico
- Frequent close work with typed or handwritten items and regular filing

- Occasional contact with external Federal, State and Local regulatory bodies as well as contractors and environmental not for profit organizations

Minimum Qualification
Bachelor's degree in Physical, Natural, or Environmental Science, Soil Science, or Engineering. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling four (4) years may substitute for the required education and experience.

Working Conditions
Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Some sitting, standing, bending and reaching may be required. Occasional trips to the main office to support mail runs. Occasional lifting of items weighing between 10 and 25 lbs. from floor to waist and potential exposure to dust (e.g., photocopier/printer toner) are expected.
