Summary You will serve as an ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER in the ENVIRONMENTAL DIVISION (Code 1063) of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF. A Cost-of-Living-Allowance (COLA) of 8.64% will be added to the stated salary. COLA is subject to change at any time. Salary Range GS-11: $85,612 - $108,764 per annum GS-12: $95,044 - $122,806 per annum Duties Help You will be responsible for the implementation of the Shipyard and IMF environmental protection program. You will ensure compliance with environmental laws, all pertinent regulations in the Code of Federal Regulations, and any specific agency guidelines. You will serve as the program manager for specific environmental subject matter areas. You will represent the Command at a variety of meetings both internally and externally (project plan of the day, OSHE committees, mixed waste/radPCB, pre job briefs, process action teams, regional meetings, etc.) You will advise and provide planning and technical review services on specific problems, projects, programs and functions to support the command's mission on ship repair and maintenance. You will advise all levels of personnel including ship's force and contractor personnel on the proper interpretation, management and implementation of regulatory requirements. You will prepare environmental technical documents (e.g., permits, plans, formal correspondence, etc.) You will implement environmental regulations into work practices.
