The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $115,000. Final agreed upon compensation will be commensurate with individual education, professional designation, experience, internal parity, and location. Full-time, permanent role with opportunities for professional growth and advancement Responsibilities: Direct projects, delegate to office and field staff, and execute overall strategy for projects Prepare proposals and review/write environmental reports with leadership review Oversee project performance and project contractual and financial issues (including terms of agreement, changes in scope, scheduling, and billing process) Manage, mentor, and coordinate with SLR staff (e.g., project-level scientists, engineers, and consultants) Conduct and review technical analyses/calculations Participate in meetings and agency consultations Ensure work is carried out in a safe manner and in accordance with company safety rules and applicable regulatory, industry, and other pertinent standards. This includes, but is not limited to, development of health and safety plans, coordinate and participate in regular safety meetings and training, work site inspections, use of required personal protective equipment, and respond accordingly to unsafe work hazards Conduct internal and client communications Initiate and support business development activities Qualifications/Education/Memberships: Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Geological/Environmental Engineering or Sciences Around 10 years of related work experience Massachusetts LSP, LEP, LSRP, PE, and or PG a plus History of providing environmental consulting services for site investigations and remediation related to soil, groundwater, soil vapor, indoor air, and sediment sampling Understands environmental due diligence (Environmental Site Assessments) with a strong grasp of the Massachusetts Contingency Plan (MCP), experience with programs in nearby states and emerging contaminants a plus Balances assignments; strong organizational skills Review technical deliverables, data analysis, and mapping for deliverables ranging from site assessment reports to remedial action plans and Permanent Solutions Experience editing reports that demonstrate technical knowledge and the ability to review the reports of others Manage task assignments and help mentor and train other staff as required Communicate effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions, and foster a positive working relationship with clients Systematically and proactively examine the various components of an issue to understand key elements and relationships and thinks strategically, considering a broad range of internal and external factors when solving problems and seeking input before making decisions Complete tasks with minimal supervision and direction - self-starter Demonstrates professional judgment, consistency, strong attention to detail, and background of high-quality work products Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills Strong interest in safety Possess or have completed 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER and 8-hour refresher training Experience with Deltek or similar project management system is a plus Diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) are at the core of who we are and want to be.
