Environmental Scientist Or Field Geologist

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Environmental Scientist to join our team. The role involves both fieldwork and office responsibilities, including report writing and participation in various environmental projects across the five boroughs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct construction oversight and community air monitoring (CAMP).
• Perform soil and groundwater sampling.
• Prepare and write technical reports, including remedial action and closure plans, Phase I and Phase II site assessment reports.
• Engage in fieldwork as necessary.

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, or Environmental Science.
• 2-5+ years of experience in construction oversight, community air monitoring (CAMP), soil sampling, and groundwater sampling.
• Proficient in environmental science, geology, and remediation.
• Strong report writing skills.
• Excellent communication skills.

• SST Card
• OSHA 40 HAZWOPER certification
• Willingness to work in the field as needed
• Possession of OSHA 30, OSHA 10, and site safety certifications

The position offers a hybrid work schedule with 1-2 days of work from home depending on the schedule.

Fieldwork hours are from 6:45am to 3:30pm, while office hours are from 9am to 6pm.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
