NEW! Environmental Compliance Specialist

We have an immediate need for a Environmental Compliance Specialist in the Santa Clara and Fremont areas. This position requires oversight and implementation of biological, archaeological, and safety compliance on the jobsite. Position is a long-term part-time position, two full days per week. Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for reviewing project documents and evaluating requirements
• Review and document if any protect bird species, nests, and buffers are present
• Conduct daily field inspections to ensure all compliance is met
• Responsible for submitting daily inspection reports along with required photos to stakeholders
• Ability to conduct training providing daily environmental updates
• Have a clear understanding and coordinate with construction team determining the planned work activity along with any construction change orders
• May attend construction meetings as required

Education and Experience

• Bachelors Degree in Biology, Environmental Science, Ecology, Anthropology, Archaeology or related field
• 7 plus of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
• Experience conducting construction compliance monitoring along with demonstrated experience evaluating habitat suitability and identifying special-status wildlife in the Bay Area
• Knowledge and ability to identify general native and non-native plant and animal species
• Clear understanding of state and federal laws regarding the protection of species and habitats
• Knowledge of permit application requirements
• Excellent communication skills with detailed documentation with exceptional organizational skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office to include Excel
• Valid US Drivers license required

Compensation based on experience $45-$60/hr (Environmental, Compliance, Monitor, Biology, Archaeologist, Ecology, Construction, Field, Species, Habitat)
