Help

Serve as an Environmental Program and Project Manager.

Manage, control, coordine and execute assigned programs and projects involving Remediion and Environmental Compliance of Bulk Petroleum.

Plan, prepare, and implement corpore decisions, guidance, laws, regulions, and policy in the development of the project(s) in support of the program assigned.

Negotie and integre all the Agency's Environmental Energy functions (i.e. Compliance and Restorion) into DLA Energy planning, designs, studies, cost engineering, construction, real este, contracting, inventory, DFSP Management, etc.

Supports DLA Energy customer needs' ensuring regulory requirements and other Agencies' commitments are defined and implemented.

Environmental restorion projects assignments may include: bioremediion, groundwer extraction and trement, vapor extraction, soil washing, incinerion and soil vapor extraction assessment of sites containing fuel cont.

cont. and fuel-reled contaminants, heavy metals, and semi-voliles and voliles. Future projects may include trement and remediion of emergent chemicals.

Environmental compliance projects may include: leak detection maintenance and certificion, NEPA analysis, Military Construction Reviews, Capitalizion Merit and Review Committee participion Environmental Management of a Permitted Defense

Fuel Support Point Environmental Document Development, Underground Storage Tank Operors Training, Spill Response Training, Defense Ste Memorandum of Agreement, Oil Spill Recovery Organizion, and Environmental Service Contracts.

To qualify for an Environmental Protection Specialist, GS-0028-13 your resume and supporting documention must support:

A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience th equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and th is typically in or reled to the position to be filled. To qualify the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or prive sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after- competitive appointment, minimum qualificions, and any other regulory requirements by the cut-off/closing de of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:

Managing an Environmental Protection program or project.

Participing in environmental restorion and/or compliance projects.

Ensuring regulory requirements are met in fuel/energy programs.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through Nional Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizions (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience th transles directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
