Position Summary
We are seeking an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist with a strong focus on ergonomics to support a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for a hands-on EHS generalist who has practical experience performing ergonomic assessments and working directly on the shop floor.
This is not a highly specialized or certification-heavy rolereal-world ergonomics experience in a manufacturing setting is the priority.
Key Responsibilities
Perform and validate ergonomic assessments on the production floor based on established design guidance
Identify risk factors and recommend ergonomic improvements to reduce injury and improve efficiency
Deliver EHS and ergonomics-related training to shop floor employees
Support implementation and rollout of ergonomics programs within manufacturing operations
Act as a liaison between EHS leadership, engineers, and production teams
Participate in incident investigations, particularly those related to musculoskeletal or ergonomic concerns
Provide general EHS support across safety and health initiatives

Skills and Requirements
Required Qualifications
Experience in an EHS role within a manufacturing environment (required)
Hands-on experience conducting ergonomic assessments in an industrial setting
Strong understanding of ergonomic principles (e.g., posture, repetitive motion, material handling)
Experience working directly with frontline employees and operators
Ability to communicate effectively across teams and influence change on the shop floor
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment Preferred Background
Educational background in kinesiology, biomechanics, exercise science, or similar (not required)
Experience implementing ergonomic improvements in manufacturing or production environments
Background in oil & gas, energy, or military environments
Experience supporting high-volume or high-risk industrial operations
