Job Summary:

The Environmental Analyst is responsible for activities related to environmental compliance. This individual will assist with the maintenance and implementation of programs and policies to ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and local environmental requirements. The Environmental Analyst will assist with inspection of the organization's facilities to identify areas for improvement and determine appropriate corrective or preventive measures.

Job Responsibilities:

  • As part of Viterra's sustainability program, compile, verify and enter sustainability data including energy and water use, waste generation.
  • Assist with the implementation of sustainability measures including energy and water conservation, waste reduction and reuse, and renewable energy projects.
  • Conduct site visits to identify emission units, emission points, control devices and other information needed to prepare air construction and operating permit applications and evaluate compliance with air construction and operating permit requirements.
  • Prepare or oversee the preparation of air construction and operating permit applications including coordinating consultant and applicable regulatory agencies communication.
  • Prepare and submit annual air emission inventories, annual certification of compliance and semi-annual deviation reports
  • Assist facilities with implementation of air construction and operating permit requirements.
  • Coordinate stack tests including identifying stack testing companies, coordinating with applicable regulatory agencies and monitoring throughput
  • Conduct air construction and operating permit audits and assist with corrective measures as applicable
  • Assist with environmental due diligence activities including evaluating compliance of perspective acquisitions
  • Assist with implementation of other environmental programs such as, Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasures, Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans, Waste Disposal, Tier II Reporting, and United States Army Corps of Engineers Permitting
  • Conduct compliance audits to verify compliance with environmental regulations and company policies.

Qualifications/Education/Experience/Skills:

  • BS or BA in Engineering, Science or related field.
  • 0 to 2 years of environmental experience with a primary focus on environmental compliance.
  • Strong mathematical and writing skills and experience with spreadsheets preferred.
