Environmenal Health & Saftey Manager

Location: Waco, TX- Electrolit Manufacturing Plant

Reports to: Director of Plant Operations

Position Summary

The Environmental Health & Safety Manager for Electrolit Manufacturing USA will be ensuring a safe, compliant work environment through training, research, and policy implementation. The Environmental Health & Safety Officer be working with sensitive information therefore it will require an NDA. The EH&S Manager  will report to the Electrolit Manufacturing’s/JCSA’s HR Manager.

Principal Duties

1. Inspects the facility to identify safety, health, and environmental risks.
2. Develops and implements inspection policies and procedures, and a schedule of routine inspections.
3. Develops health and safety procedures for all areas of the company.
4. Collaborate with various departments to ensure cohesive and compliant policies with respect to workplace procedure.
5. Prepares and schedules training to cover emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other relevant topics.
6. Monitors compliance with safety procedures.
7. Drafts inspection reports to document inspection findings.
8. Ensures that material safety data sheets are maintained and readily accessible when needed.
9. Maintains records of discharge of or employee exposure to hazardous waste and/or pollutants, as required.
10. Other duties as assigned by Management.

Skills

1. Strong Microsoft office suite program experience required.
2. Extensive knowledge of environmental regulations and policies.
3. Proficient in technology and equipment used in environmental inspections.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelors degree in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety and Health, or related field required
2. Five (5) years prior experience in related field required.

Other Requirements

• Must be willing to travel up to 20% of the time.
• Must be able to lift Thirty (30) pounds.
• Must be able to comfortably use ladders and step stools.
