Job Summary TYLin is seeking a seasoned Environmental Services Manager to lead our environmental planning and compliance efforts from our Coral Gables, FL office. The ideal candidate will be a recognized leader in environmental issues related to transportation and port infrastructure, with a distinguished track record in NEPA documentation, permitting, and regulatory compliance. This is a unique opportunity to join a high-performing team and play a critical role in delivering complex, environmentally-sensitive projects throughout Florida and along the East Coast. Responsibilities & Qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the representative responsible for all environmental NEPA documents, permitting, and environmental compliance across a wide variety of infrastructure projects.

  • Lead and manage environmental initiatives related to port operations and expansion, with additional experience across roadway, bridge, and aviation projects.

  • Oversee and contribute to a diverse portfolio of work, from seagrass and coral restoration to contamination assessment and NEPA documentation.

  • Coordinate with regulatory agencies including NMFS and USFWS, ensuring strict adherence to all environmental protocols and requirements.

  • Supervise and mentor environmental scientists and project teams, ensuring delivery of high-quality work and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

  • Lead stakeholder engagement efforts and represent the firm in public and agency meetings.

  • Prepare technical proposals and contribute to business development efforts within the environmental sciences practice.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Ecology, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in environmental science and permitting, with a focus on transportation and coastal infrastructure projects.

  • Extensive knowledge of NEPA, Section 404/401 permitting, Endangered Species Act, and other relevant environmental regulations.

  • Certifications in threatened and endangered species surveys would be a distinct advantage.

  • Well-established relationships with FDOT (particularly District 6), Miami-Dade County DERM, and various environmental agencies.

  • Exceptional communication, project management, and client engagement skills.

Preferred Experience:

  • Direct experience working on port expansion projects, including environmental mitigation, stakeholder outreach, and regulatory navigation.

  • Background in both public sector (e.g., FDOT, DERM) and private consulting environments.
