Environmental Scientist focused on Construction Compliance needed in Franklin County Ohio. Ideal candidates will have a bachelors degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Ecology or similar field and at least 1 year of relevant experience. Experience with SWPPP Insoections and construction related environmental permits are strongly preferred.

responsibilities:
- Perform daily walkthroughs of the construction site to monitor activities and ensure adherence to environmental regulations, permits, and best management practices (BMPs).
- Maintain detailed daily logs and prepare bi-weekly environmental compliance reports summarizing site activities, findings, and any non-compliance issues.
- Monitor implementation and effectiveness of Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP) and Erosion and Sediment Control Plans (ESCP), identifying any deficiencies.
- Inspect, evaluate, and confirm proper installation and maintenance of BMPs to prevent environmental degradation during construction.
- Attend regular team meetings to discuss site progress, environmental issues, and corrective actions with project managers and stakeholders.
- Observe construction activities and immediately flag any violations or concerns regarding permit conditions or regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with onsite personnel and environmental consultants to support environmentally responsible construction practices.
- Use company-issued fleet vehicles and field tools appropriately while ensuring all data and documentation tools are maintained and secure.
- Commute using personal vehicle from home to the project site (after onboarding training is completed at the Columbus office), and utilize fleet vehicle only onsite.
- Adhere to all job site safety protocols and contribute to minimizing environmental, cultural, and biological impacts in line with project commitments.
