We are seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Administrator responsible for Reporting to the Director of Environmental Health & Safety, the Environmental Health and Safety Administrator is an integral part of the EHS team and helps maintain and upkeep the Safety and Environmental Management System (SEMS) providing support and guidance for the safety team and oversight of the EHS controlled documents for Ice Cap Holdings SIS, NBBB, and ESR.
What You will Do:
Key Responsibilities:
SEMS
Implement the key elements of the Safety and Environmental Management System (SEMS) throughout the operations at the company site.
EHS Leadership
Work with all levels of organizational management to report on and track compliance and compliance with safety policies, standards, plans, and procedures.
EHS Policy, Standard, Program, Plans
- Oversee and maintain EHS Policy, Standards, Programs, and Plans for the organization
- EHS Organization Structure Responsibilities
- Assist with the EHS team and needs for maintain SEMS in their operations
EHS Organization Structure (Training)
- Help maintain the S& E training documents and deployment and tracking of the safety and environment for all the organization.
- Support and maintain the training database, learning management system.
- EHS Loss Reporting and Investigation
- Help maintain, enter, and oversee the safety reporting system to track injuries, near hits, and hazards reported throughout the organization.
- Manage the filing system of injuries and reports hard and soft copies
S&R Regulatory Compliance
- Help maintain the OSHA Log for compliance with regulations for injury reporting.
- Work with team to make sure of compliance with environmental regulations for stormwater, waste, and air permits.
- EHS Audits and Inspections
- Oversee the safety inspection of safety items for safety equipment, emergency equipment as needed throughout the facility.
- EHS Continuous Improvement
- Assign action items to the team as they are found and follow up that they are completed.
EHS Performance Metrics, Evaluation and Management Review
Review safety performance at organization identifying areas for improvement and working with management team to improve facility and safety concerns.

- Manage and keep up to date the following safety and environmental trackers
- Safety Training MASTER Tracking spreadsheet, employee list, and orientation completion for Agency staff, Subcontractors, Visiting Vessel Crew
- WC loss event reporting
- Safety Action Items in MS Planner
- Air Emissions monthly report
Input following data for tracking
- Weekly Safety Meeting Attendance
- Safety & Environmental - Loss Event or Near Loss Event Reporting (Files on SP)
- Lab Analytic Test Results
- Environmental Air Reporting
- Weekly DW Inspection
- Air Permit Paint usage, Distiller usage, ABG usage
- Waste tracker
Generate and distribute
- Weekly Safety Meetings
- WSM Attendance Report
- Monthly Safety Reports
- Monthly Environmental Reports
- OSHA Log and Annual Summary for signature and posting
- Safety Action Item tracker
- Document Control
- Manage document control for office of EHS.
- Maintain storage and tracking of EHS controlled documents
- Manage review and update and changes to EHS documentation
- Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills.
- Experience in a safety-related role preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong ability to focus and follow detailed procedures
- Basic understanding of safety principles and practices.
Qualifications
What You Bring to Our Team:
- Three years of experience working with document control and proficiency with electronic document management programs and applications (scanning, copying, archiving, storing, and transmitting)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to interface with colleagues at all levels
- Experience and training are such that will bring level of expertise and professionalism that will build brand of both operating companies
- Strong client service orientation when serving our operating entities, adapting to the cultural realities on the ground in each operating company.
- Ability to work with various file structures (pdfs, advanced in Excel, managing data)
- Team player, keen sense of urgency, problem solving/analytical ability.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent organization skills, communication skills and customer service skills.
- Computer skills: Word, Excel, Outlook
Preferred Requirements
- Experience in creating a document control process
- Five (5) years of experience in safety or compliance field in EAC industry (Engineering, Architecture, Construction).
- Associate degree
- Proficiency in Learning Management System and Microsoft Project
- Shipyard experience, preferred
Pay: $22.50 per hour to $30 per hour
