Environmental Compliance Specialist Jobs in Washington
An Environmental Compliance Specialist in the environmental industry is primarily responsible for ensuring that an organization's operations align with environmental laws and regulations. Their duties include the evaluation and analysis of an organization's environmental impact, developing and implementing environmental policies and procedures, conducting environmental audits, and ensuring the proper disposal of hazardous waste. They also play a critical role in the management and prevention of environmental risks, liaising with environmental agencies and stakeholders, and promoting sustainability initiatives.
